Setting up the Sleeve

  1. You first need to lay your hose flat on the ground.  The sleeve comes in a 60 foot length of plant-based tubing 1.5 mm thick, and 7 inches wide.  There should be plenty of extra material after the first use.

  2. Tie the sleeve around the end of the tape measure and gently pull it through the hose.  This can also be done with a 20 ft length of string tied to a heavy bolt and pulling the string through with the bolts weight by holding one end up and letting it fall through.

  3. Once the sleeve is pulled through the hose, cuff the plastic around the end with 6-8 inches of extra sleeve and attach to the RV pipe or sewage dump, depending on which end is cuffed.

  4. Prepare the other end by cutting the sleeve with enough excess to again cuff around the other end and attach to the sewer system or RV. It is important to pull all excess length out of the hose so that the sleeve isn't doubled over on itself.

Removing the Sleeve

  1. When it is time to move out, flush the black water system to reduce the solid material in the hose.

  2. Disconnect from the RV FIRST. Raise the hose as you uncuff the sleeve and tie it closed. Continue to raise the hose to drain the contents.

  3. When it is time to move out, flush the black water system to reduce the solid material in the hose.

  4. To be prepared for the next site, tie the roll of Sewersleeve to the RV end as you pull the old sleeve out you pull clean sleeve in.

Disposable alternative to the sewer hose

For an even easier way to flush your black and gray water:

  1. Cut a length of sleeve that can reach from the RV sewer valve to the camp ground sewer port plus 12-24 inches for cuffing.

  2. Cuff the RV connector and attach to RV. I bought separate RV and sewer line connectors for less than $10. Then cuff around the sewer line connector.

  3. Open the black water tank and close when empty. Then open the gray water tank to flush the black water out and close when empty.

  4. Disconnect from the sewer line and loosely loop around the valves so the linner is out of the way until the next time you need to empty the tanks. I do this every couple of days, depending on usage.

  5. After the last time you empty the tanks, disconnect from your RV. Uncuff the sleeve and tie it off. Disconnect from the sewer line. Uncuff the the sleeve and tie it off. Throw away the used sleeve and hit the road.
